In Scottish it means fire, in Mandarin Chinese it means victory, and in Hawaiian it means ocean. Kai, I am going to name my 1st child Kai. Last night Lynn and I took a break from sleeping in her van. We decided to camp out on the beach near the lighthouse in Makapu’u. We were accompanied by good company (two friends) and a sizzling fire keeping us warm while roasting our kale. Iv’e never slept any better, surprisingly, I woke up this morning feeling fueled and loved. It’s only 6 AM over here and already there are three surfers in the water taking advantage of these angry waves and two females attempting to tan (there is very little sun at this time). It astonishes me how early people wake up around here to catch a wave. But the probably enjoy the water as much as I do. Kai, It was a treat waking up to the sounds of the roaring pacific waves.
